This is a picture of me in my younger years. I believe I was 3 when I took this picture. This photo is good picture because I maintain eye contact with the camera and the focus is locked very well. The way I am posing creates an innocent mood of only a child.

This is a group picture of me, my cousin, two of my brothers, and a friend of my cousin. This photo was taken at my cousin’s friend’s birthday party. This means a lot to me because the closest members of my family are present. I personally like this photo because of the contrast of all the colors. There are so many different colors in this photo that create a rainbow. I also like how all the subjects pay close attention to the camera and maintain complete eye contact. Obviously we are doing our best to follow all the guidelines given to us to make a good picture.

This is also another photo of me. In this picture I am posing with an Ed Hardy hat near the window seal. The light shining from the window creates a perfect scene. The glare compliments my hat very well and does a very good job of shining just enough to allow the viewer to identify the hat. It does not shine too much and overwhelm the hat with its incredible brightness. Also gleam of the light shining on my chain creates an aura that flatters me well. Together with the gleam of the chain, light shining, and Ed Hardy hat, a certain aura or swagger seems to be emanating around me.

This is a photo of none other than me, Yared Ghebreyohannes. I took this picture about a year ago of myself. I utilized the black and white option of my computer and gave the picture a darker mood. The way I am posing in this photo seems to give off a care-free sense. The white background also better distinguishes between my dark clothing. The contrast of black and white improves the picture and augments my already dreary, depressing, laid back mood. The angle at which the camera is looking at me also gives the picture more artistic appeal.

This is a picture of Northwest Washington DC. Featured in this photo are Cardozo Senior High School, an elementary school and playground, and several houses and apartment buildings. The photo is very colorful and unique. I like how the several objects in the photo do not draw too much attention away from each other and work with one another to create a vivid scene. This photo is a picture of an average day in Washington DC NW. The bright glare of the photo does a wonderful job of enhancing the photo and all of its artistic capabilities.

The Benjamin Banneker Academic High School Recreational Center and the Howard University Apartment Buildings is featured in this photograph. This photo is very magnificent because it is filled with so much diversity. This photo is filled with so many different objects and colors, but that is the reason behind its magnificence. It is so wonderful because the different objects and colors come together and aide one another in creating a beautiful portrait. Another beautiful aspect of the picture is how the skyline seems to glow above the Howard University apartment buildings and create a sense of a beautiful day.

This is a picture of the Howard University building across the street from Benjamin Banneker Academic High School Recreational Center. Students and teachers constantly walk and drive past this building, but never notice the artistic appeal of the buildings. In particularly, this photograph of Howard University is a very interesting one. The building itself is a masterpiece, but the color contrast in this photo was very intriguing because it grasps your attention. It at first seems to be a black and white photo, but the bright metallic blue of the roof of the building and window shields of the cars jumps out and grabs your eye.

The Benjamin Banneker Academic High School basketball court is featured in this photograph among other objects. This picture is specifically nice because of the range of the picture. The picture stretches from the two basketball courts to the tennis courts and all the way to the apartment buildings. Another intriguing feature of this picture is the color on the basketball court. Amidst the bland blacktop and white lines are colorful splashes of blue and green. The spots do a good job of giving a sense of color to the basic gray color of the background. This photograph creates a perfect balance between the contrasting bland grey and colorful green and blue.

This is a picture of the illustrious historically black college, Howard University. I personally like this picture because its hold much history. Howard University is one of the most respected HBCU’s in America and holds within its confines a rich history that dates back over 200 years. Along with the rich history, personally memories are represented in the photograph as well. The 70 bus stop where my high school friends and I shared many memories is also featured in this picture. This picture is somewhat like a metaphor of the crossing that many high school students have to make from childhood and immaturity in high school to the adulthood of college.

This was a picture taken during school of my lovely friend Aminata Alpha. It is a particularly beautiful picture because the lighting coming from the window compliments her face perfectly. It shines down as if to enhance her beauty, but also at the same does a very good job of not covering too much of her face. The angle the light hits her face creates just the right balance and the gleam of the light hitting her bracelet is simply gorgeous. The expression on her face is also simply priceless and the light color of her shirt and her darker complexion seem to compliment one another perfectly.

This photo was an incredibly interesting photo itself. Corwin managed to give attention much detail to every aspect of the car, while also managing to keep attention on the children inside as well.

Caverly really created artwork out of nothing more than common office actions. In this photo, Caverly manages to make the subject look professional, but also natural at the same time.
